Shipping & Returns
Unless otherwise communicated, we ship exclusively with USPS. The US Postal Service is the most economical solution for our goods, allowing us to offer the most reasonable shipping rates possible. Domestic shipments take between three and five business days once shipped. All packages ship with delivery confirmation, and while tracking information is provided, it does not always reflect the current status or location of the package.
We strive to always ship within 1-2 business days, however on rare occasion an item may be on backorder and may take an extra 1-3 days to become ready for shipment. Each item is made and shipped by the same two hands, but we do our absolute best to handle your order as quickly as possible.
• Lost, Stolen, and Undelivered Shipments
Once a package is passed on to the carrier (USPS unless otherwise specified), Alchemist Soaps & Etcetera can no longer take responsibility for the package if it is waylaid.
Unless insurance is purchased, Alchemist Soaps & Etcetera is not responsible for lost, stolen, or undelivered packages. All lost, stolen, and undelivered packages without insurance are the responsibility of the buyer, and we are unable to replace or reship these items without insurance.
Insurance is available for purchase by sending us a message prior to purchase, or by initiating a custom order request.
• Address Changes & Other Changes
We will always ship to the delivery address submitted on the order. If you have a change of address to submit or a name change for a gifted item, we will do our best to make those changes if they’re submitted promptly, however because orders are handled and shipped on a tight turnaround, we cannot guarantee change requests. Please submit the intended delivery address on the original order, and include any other communications in the notes.
Return & Exchange Policy
We strive to describe all our items thoroughly and accurately, and because of the intimate nature of the soaps, balms, and other products we sell, all of our bath and personal care items are final sale only. Merchandise such as candles and other one-of-a-kind goods in its original condition may be returned within 14 days for the value of the merchandise, in exchange for store credit. Please feel free to ask questions about any of our products prior to purchase, so we can make sure you find the right goods for you.
If you receive incorrect or damaged items, please keep the item in its original packaging along with the shipping carton. Please contact us within 3 days of receipt so that we can resolve the issue.
